About the Position
We are seeking a Senior Java Developer with 5+ years of experience to join our global Fixed Income Rates and Credit markets technology team. You'll be working in a fast-paced, highly motivated, and delivery-focused team present in 8 cities across 6 countries, covering the US, Europe, and Asia Pacific. Our team is dedicated to creating and delivering innovative solutions for business problems while maintaining a complex and multifaceted platform.
Responsibilities
- Develop solutions to key business challenges using Java applications or the ION toolset.
- Refactor and enhance existing components and solutions.
- Manage UAT and demonstration sessions with key stakeholders.
- Elicit key information from business stakeholders, transforming these into concise IT requirements.
- Collaborate with other global IT teams.
- Assist the production operations team in rollout and production support.
Requirements
- Must have:
- Good Java experience (minimum 5 years).
- Good understanding of low-latency, multi-threaded code.
- Sound knowledge of object-oriented programming and design patterns. Exposure to functional programming is also highly desirable.
- Experience of working in agile teams.
- Huge plus:
- Solid understanding of Rates and Credit bonds and derivatives.
- Detailed understanding of the nuances of trading venues such as Bloomberg, TradeWeb.
- Nice to have:
- Previous ION knowledge, to an expert level.
- Previous experience of bond pricing with PXE.
- Experience in automated testing and continuous integration.
- Experience of Python, Perl, and other scripting languages.
- Experience of Kafka.
