Senior Java Developer

About the Position

We're seeking a Senior Java Developer with 5+ years of experience to join our global Fixed Income Rates and Credit markets technology team in Krakow, Poland.

Responsibilities

• Develop solutions to key business challenges using Java applications or the ION toolset
• Refactor and enhance existing components and solutions
• Manage UAT and demonstration sessions with key stakeholders
• Elicit key information from business stakeholders, transforming these into concise IT requirements
• Collaborate with other global IT teams
• Assist the production operations team in rollout and production support

Requirements

• MUST

  • Good Java experience (minimum 5 years)
  • Good understanding of low-latency, multi-threaded code
  • Sound knowledge of object-oriented programming and design patterns. Exposure to functional programming is also highly desirable
  • Experience of working in agile teams
  • Solid understanding of Rates and Credit bonds and derivatives
  • Detailed understanding of the nuances of trading venues such as Bloomberg, TradeWeb

• NICE TO HAVE

  • Previous ION knowledge, to an expert level
  • Previous experience of bond pricing with PXE
  • Experience in automated testing and continuous integration
  • Experience of Python, Perl, and other scripting languages
  • Experience of Kafka
