About the Position

GULP Information Services GmbH, a leading and renowned German insurance group with millions of customers, is seeking a highly qualified external expert for a long-term consulting project in the field of "comprehensive insurance applications." We are looking for a Senior Java Developer / DevOps to join our IT department.

Laufzeit: 01.01.2027 - 31.12.2027 (Option/Perspektive auf Verlängerung für 2028)
Umfang: ca. 200 Personentage (PT) im Abrufkontingent
Einsatzort: Hybrid (regelmäßige Präsenztage vor Ort in Coburg in Abstimmung mit dem Team, ansonsten Remote)

Responsibilities

Design and develop scalable backend services using Java and Quarkus
Implement RESTful web services
Automate tests using Cucumber
Set up CI/CD solutions with Jenkins and GitLab
Apply DevOps principles
Collaborate with the team using Confluence and Jira
Work in a team-oriented environment

Requirements

Very good knowledge of the Java programming language, especially with experience in implementing RESTful web services using the Java framework Quarkus
Very good knowledge in the field of test automation, especially Cucumber
Angular knowledge is desirable
Solid knowledge in setting up CI/CD solutions with Jenkins and GitLab
Experience in applying DevOps principles
Proficient use of Confluence and Jira tools
Willingness to work in a team
Fluent in German (native speaker)
