Senior Java Developer

About the Position

We are looking for a Senior Java Developer to join our fintech team in Warsaw, Poland. This role is on-site and offers a hybrid work model with 3 days in the client's office in Krakow.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems in Java.
• Architect and implement REST APIs and microservices.
• Collaborate with architects, QA teams, DevOps, and business stakeholders.
• Ensure high performance, reliability, security, and maintainability of solutions.
• Participate in code reviews and maintain code quality and readability.
• Diagnose and resolve complex issues in production environments.
• Develop and support CI/CD processes and pipelines.
• Actively propose and implement improvements in the software development process.
• Take responsibility for the quality and timely delivery of solutions.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of commercial experience in Java, including practical knowledge of Java 17+.
• Very good knowledge of Spring / Spring Boot.
• Experience in designing and creating REST APIs and backend services.
• Very good knowledge of microservices architecture.
• Knowledge of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and Clean Code principles.
• Practical knowledge of ORM frameworks and SQL databases.
• Ability to optimize SQL queries.
• Knowledge of CI/CD processes, DevOps practices, and SDLC best practices.
• Experience in creating unit, integration, and automated tests using JUnit and Mockito.
• Very good knowledge of Git and modern branching strategies.
• Knowledge of Secure Coding principles and experience with security scanning tools.
• Knowledge of logging, metrics, monitoring, and tracing.
• Experience in supporting and diagnosing systems running in production environments.
