Senior Java Developer

About the Position

We are looking for a Senior Java Developer to join our Risk and Margin team, operating within an agile model where crews are aligned to larger products and services fulfilling client needs and encompassing multiple autonomous pods. In this role, you will focus on enhancing current risk models, driving continuous improvement, and leading the transition of future-state risk models to the cloud. Please note that this role requires 3 days in the office in "flex-hybrid" mode.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications using Core Java and Spring Boot
• Build and enhance microservices-based solutions with a focus on performance, reliability, and maintainability
• Develop and optimize integrations with PostgreSQL, Oracle, and Sybase databases
• Deploy and support applications in Azure using Docker and Kubernetes
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software in an Agile environment
• Troubleshoot, enhance, and support production systems running in Unix/Linux environments

Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Core Java and Spring Boot
• Background in designing and developing Java microservices infrastructure
• Expertise in Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized application deployment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Azure cloud services
• Knowledge of PostgreSQL and Oracle databases
• Competency in Unix/Linux environments and shell scripting
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• English proficiency at an Upper-Intermediate level (B2) or higher

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with Sybase Enterprise Application Server
