About the Position
We are seeking a Senior Java Developer with DevOps skills to join our team in Krakow, Poland. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and enhancing Java-based applications.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and enhance Java-based applications in line with business and functional requirements.
- Analyze existing code, troubleshoot issues, and implement performance, reliability, and maintainability improvements.
- Perform unit testing, code reviews, and support system integration and user acceptance testing activities.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, and deployment automation using GitLab, Azure Pipelines, Terraform, and Unix scripting (around 30% of the time).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, release management, and production support.
Requirements
- Experience in core Java
- Basic UNIX skills
- Spring basics
- Strong OOP skills and ability to propose the design and implement changes in complex systems
- Promoting clean code discipline (Clean Code: A Handbook of Agile Software Craftsmanship)
- Practical experience with unit testing and TDD
- Problem-solving skills
- Pro-active team worker
- Good communication skills
- Professional Working Proficiency in English
