Senior Java Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Java Engineer to join our fintech team in Prague. If you have experience with Java 17+ and a passion for technology, we want you on our team. You'll seamlessly integrate into our team by aligning with our team's personality profile.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create high-quality web applications
• Write clear, maintainable, and testable code with a focus on good testing practices, including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing
• Ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and design patterns
• Participate in code reviews
• Work in an Agile development environment

Requirements

• Core skills:
  • 5+ years of development experience
  • Experience in banking and financial institutions
  • Practical experience with microservice architecture
  • Knowledge of Java 17+ and Spring Boot
  • Practical experience with creating unit tests and diligence in code review
  • Framework knowledge and practical skills with Jenkins, UCD/ArgoCD, Kubernetes, Azure/AWS cloud
  • Knowledge of databases/database development (PostgreSQL)
  • Experience with communication/integration patterns
  • Experience with messaging systems (Artemis, Kafka)
  • Experience with SW design/SW architecture
  • Ability to work independently, but also the ability to collaborate and communicate well with others
  • Czech or Slovak language at an excellent level is essential, English at least on technical level
