Senior Java Engineer

About the Position

We are seeking a Senior Java Engineer with extensive experience in Java and Spring Boot to join our team in Wroclaw, Poland. Our client is a leading U.S. fashion retailer, offering apparel, footwear, beauty, and home goods. It operates 350+ stores and robust online platforms, combining in-store and digital experiences.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain software systems supporting Supply Chain and warehouse management operations
• Contribute to system architecture and technical design for scalable, high-performance solutions
• Break down requirements into well-defined stories, scope work, and provide accurate estimates
• Deliver high-quality, maintainable, and well-tested code
• Produce clear technical documentation and design artifacts
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve complex business and technical challenges
• Provide on-call support for systems owned by the team

Requirements

• 7+ years of hands-on experience delivering high-quality software
• Strong proficiency in Java and Spring Boot
• Experience with messaging and streaming platforms (e.g., Kafka)
• Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Kubernetes; GCP is a plus)
• Familiarity with modern DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, Terraform)
• Strong experience with test automation (unit, integration, regression, performance/load)
• Experience with logging and monitoring tools (e.g., New Relic, Splunk)
• Ability to design and articulate scalable, well-architected systems
