About the Position
We are thrilled to invite an experienced Senior Java Full Stack Developer skilled in ReactJS to drive transformative solutions in the agriculture sector. You will play a pivotal role in building scalable, user-friendly, and data-driven applications, enabling efficient field trialling and in-field decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Develop, enhance, and maintain web applications using ReactJS, Java, and Spring Boot
- Build reliable and robust microservices architecture adhering to RESTful API and HTTP standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to simplify user journeys and optimize system performance
- Design and implement serverless solutions leveraging AWS Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, and other AWS services
- Ensure real-time data availability and improve application usability for field scientists
- Write clean, modular code aligned with Java standards and best practices
- Follow Agile/Scrum methodologies to deliver high-quality software solutions in iterative cycles
- Implement CI/CD pipelines and automation-first principles with GitLab, Docker, and Terraform
- Create and maintain API documentation using OpenAPI/Swagger standards
- Conduct TDD-driven development, covering unit, integration, and contract testing
- Focus on data quality within application designs, ensuring accurate inputs and reference harmonization
- Future-proof the technical design to support evolving data analytics needs
- Design, build, and deploy AI-enabled solutions using Java technologies
- Lead the implementation of business-critical features powered by AI
- Contribute to all phases of the AI Software Development Life Cycle, including solution design, prompt engineering, model integration, evaluation, monitoring, deployment, and continuous improvement
- Stay updated on the latest trends in Java and AI technologies
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in Java development, including Java 17+
- Proven experience implementing the AI Software Development Life Cycle with a maturity level of 2.5+
- Background in Spring Boot and/or Quarkus development
- Proficiency in ReactJS and React Query for dynamic and responsive UIs
- Expertise in RESTful APIs and microservice architecture based on HTTP standards
- Knowledge of AWS serverless architecture including DynamoDB, Lambda, API Gateway, SQS/SNS, and containers
- Understanding of SQL and non-relational databases
- Showcase of clean code practices and modular design principles
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, GitLab, and Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Competency in TDD including unit, integration, and contract testing
- Capability to create comprehensive API documentation using OpenAPI/Swagger
- Flexibility to work on Terraform, Docker, and other DevOps tools
- Qualifications in solution design, prompt engineering, and model integration
- Familiarity with the evaluation, monitoring, deployment, and continuous improvement of AI solutions
- Ability to communicate effectively in both written and spoken English (B2 level)
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of CI/CD practices with advanced customization
- Familiarity with OpenLayers for geospatial data visualization
