Senior Java Software Developer

About the Position

We're seeking a Senior Java Software Developer with 6+ years of experience to join our E-Trading application development team in Singapore. This is a hands-on role focused on building and enhancing backend eTrading modules for our in-house FX Ecommerce platform.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend applications using Core JAVA, SpringBoot, restful and streaming based API servers.
• Collaborate closely with other back-end developers to implement seamless client-server API interactions on the Web UI.
• Participate in peer code and design reviews to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Work alongside Business Analysts and Project Managers to translate requirements into functional features.
• Handle code deployments, releases, and other operational tasks on a rotational basis, with a strong emphasis on automation and continuous improvement of the build and deployment processes.

Requirements

• 6+ years of strong proficiency in modern Java and unit and integration testing frameworks (JUnit, etc).
• Comfortable using tools such as Bitbucket (Git), Jira, and Confluence.
• Experience in Linux, shell scripting, security aspects, and SQL-based Databases.
• DevOps experience with Bitbucket, Jenkins, SonarQube, VeraCode, and Artifactory.
• Ability to adapt to evolving requirements and work collaboratively in a dynamic team environment.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with agent-based coding assistant tools is a plus.
• Financial domain experience is optional, but a strong willingness to learn is essential.
