Senior JavaScript / TypeScript Engineer

About the Position

We’re looking for a Senior JavaScript / TypeScript Engineer to join a high-performance fintech platform. This role is highly technical and focused on building custom charting solutions and real-time data processing systems from scratch without relying on third-party libraries. You’ll work in a fast-paced, data-intensive environment handling high-frequency data and real-time visualizations.

Key Responsibilities

• Build advanced charting and visualization logic using vanilla JavaScript/TypeScript
• Recreate and enhance charting functionality previously handled by third-party tools
• Develop data transformation pipelines for trading and tick data
• Optimize rendering for smooth, high-performance UI updates
• Collaborate with backend teams to define data contracts and real-time update strategies
• Write automated tests to ensure calculation accuracy and visual correctness
• Document system architecture, data flows, and integration points

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience with JavaScript and TypeScript
• Strong algorithmic and mathematical thinking (important for chart calculations)
• Proven experience building custom visualization logic (without relying on libraries)
• Experience handling real-time or high-frequency data
• Understanding of trading concepts (ticks, candles, bid/ask, order flow) or strong willingness to learn
• Experience optimizing browser rendering performance
• Strong debugging, testing, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
