Description of the Company

Statkraft's market division is responsible for energy disposition, trading in physical and financial markets, and market access in Europe and South America.

The Market Analysis Nordic section consists of highly qualified and engaged employees who analyze the Nordic power market with a five-year perspective. We are part of a larger market division and work closely with large parts of Statkraft's organization.

Our main markets are European, but we also offer modeling expertise to Statkraft globally. We are now looking for an initiative-rich person with a higher technical or economic education who wants to contribute to the further development of our analysis capacity.

Price forecasts are our most important delivery and are used as a basis for decision-making for energy disposition, physical and financial trading, investment analyses, and strategic processes. Your main task will be to develop price and production forecasts for the Nordic power market.

About the Role:

To ensure the high quality of our forecasts, we work extensively with modeling and input data - from technical model work to continuous follow-up and developments in the energy and power markets.

Responsibilities

Develop pricing and production forecasts for the Nordic power market
Work closely with modeling and input data
Collaborate with various parts of Statkraft's organization

Requirements

Your Profile:

Higher technical/economic education (MSc/sivilingeniør, economics, finance, mathematics, statistics, physics, etc.)
Experience with power market models
Experience with power and energy markets
Experience with scripting, preferably Python
Excellent presentation skills in Scandinavian and English
