Job Description, Responsibilities & Requirements

About the Position

We are seeking a Senior L3 Support Engineer with 6-9 years of experience in application production support to join our leading bank in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. You will be working in a newly set-up technology center as part of Technology and Operations to deliver innovative financial technology solutions that enable business growth and technology transformation.

Responsibilities

Production & Application Support

  • Provide L3 production support for Investment & Wealth applications.
  • Monitor application health and ensure production stability.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application and database-related issues.

Incident & Problem Management

  • Perform root cause analysis for production incidents and application defects.
  • Coordinate with L1/L2 support teams for issue resolution.
  • Ensure timely closure of incidents and problem tickets.

Application Enhancement & Bug Fixing

  • Support minor enhancements and bug fixes in existing applications.
  • Analyze impact for change requests and production fixes.
  • Participate in deployment validation and post-release support.

Database Support

  • Work with Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Analyze SQL queries and support data validation activities.
  • Troubleshoot database-related application issues.

Stakeholder Coordination

  • Coordinate with business users, development teams, infrastructure teams, and vendors.
  • Provide timely communication and status updates for production issues.

Documentation & Support Governance

  • Maintain support documentation and incident records.
  • Ensure adherence to support processes and operational standards.

Requirements

Must Have

  • 6-9 years of experience in application production support / L3 support.
  • Strong experience in:
    • .NET
    • SQL
    • Microsoft SQL Server
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Experience supporting enterprise banking or Investment & Wealth applications.
  • Experience working in:
    • Windows
    • Open Systems environments
  • Strong problem-solving capability.
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently in support environments.
  • Incident and priority management capability.

Nice to Have

  • Wealth Management domain experience.

Languages

  • English: C1 Advanced
