As a Senior Launch Pad Operations Engineer, you will be contributing to our new launch site in Canada from the start, through supporting design, build-up, and commissioning of the launch pad systems up to performing launch operations of our Spectrum Vehicle once the site is operational.

During the build-up and commissioning phase of our new launch pad, you will be supporting the engineering teams responsible for the design of the launch pad ground systems in Germany and be responsible for the planning and timely execution of the commissioning activities.

  • Process Improvement: Develop and improve procedures and processes to ensure smooth, safe, and efficient operations.
  • High-Quality Standards: Maintaining high-quality standards while handling flight hardware and working on systems interfacing with the launch vehicle.
  • Team Build-up: Supporting building the local operations team, potentially developing into a leadership role.

  • Understanding of the design process of fluid and mechanical systems from theoretical concept to realization, commissioning, and operation.
  • Experience in operations planning and ability to manage tight timelines.
  • Experience with multidisciplinary troubleshooting.
  • Ability to perform in high-stress environments, maintaining focus for long durations.
  • Highly organized, effective team player with high attention to detail.
  • Able to adjust self-sufficiently and quickly to a highly dynamic work environment.
  • Physical dexterity is required as working in confined spaces is necessary (including the ability to lift 25kg without assistance).
  • Fluency in English.
