About the Position
Senior / Lead Research Scientist - Serbia
Inworld is a research lab of top researchers and engineers, building the world’s top-ranked realtime voice models. We are seeking a Senior / Lead Research Scientist with expertise in machine learning and natural language processing to join our team in Serbia.

Responsibilities
- Design and develop state-of-the-art voice models
- Conduct research in machine learning and natural language processing
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate models into products
Requirements
- Machine Learning: Expertise in training and scaling models
- Natural Language Processing: Proficiency in developing and optimizing NLP models
- Research: Experience in publishing research at top conferences (ICML, ICLR, NeurIPS, EMNLP, ACL, AAAI)
- PhD in ML/NLP: Preferred, or equivalent practical experience
- Public Work: Non-trivial AI side projects, interdisciplinary experiments, open-source contributions
- Full-Stack Research Ownership: Ability to frame questions, run experiments, write papers, and ship results
Nice to Have
- Experience with foundation models, evaluation benchmarks, and frontier topics in AI
- Proficiency in multimodal models, agents, and world models
