Join us as a Senior Linux Engineer to maintain and develop IT infrastructure supporting large, complex production systems in a Linux environment (RedHat). This project involves working on key infrastructural components - from managing physical and virtual servers (blade, rack, VMware), through automation processes and system scripts, to ensuring high availability, security, and performance of the server environment.

You will co-create scalable, reliable, and easy-to-maintain systems, working closely with development, DevOps, and security teams. The project is long-term, based on a modern approach to infrastructure and management of cloud and on-premise environments.

Responsibilities

• Administration and maintenance of Linux systems (mainly RedHat), including installation, configuration, updates, and patch management.
• Creation and maintenance of shell scripts (Shell scripting) for automating system tasks.
• Management of users, roles, and system access.
• Diagnosis and resolution of technical issues related to the operating system and infrastructure.
• Support for hardware infrastructure (blade and rack servers).
• Management of VMware virtual environment - deployment and maintenance of Linux servers.
• Operation and configuration of directory services, including LDAP.
• Management of disk space and mounting resources (including LVM, NFS, CIFS).
• Design and implementation of scalable, reliable, and easy-to-maintain system services.
• Participation in large-scale projects using modern architectures, such as microservices.

Requirements

• 4 to 7 years of professional experience in a similar position.
• Rich experience and good knowledge of the Linux system (RedHat Linux), including:
  • Linux/Unix shell scripts (Shell scripting),
  • Installation, configuration, updates, and patches,
  • Management of users and roles,
  • Independent problem-solving (with minimal assistance or without it).
• Knowledge of network and storage issues used in Linux system administration (good knowledge of LVM, NFS, CIFS).
• Experience with VMware infrastructure - deployment and management of Linux servers.
• Knowledge of LDAP.
• Experience in supporting hardware (blade and rack servers).
• Ability to build services that are easy to maintain, reliable, and scalable.
