Job Description, Responsibilities & Requirements

About the Position

We are seeking a Senior Linux Engineer to join our team in Kraków, Poland. You will manage and maintain Linux environments, ensuring stability and security.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain enterprise Linux environments
  • Identify, analyze, and remediate security vulnerabilities
  • Implement and support infrastructure automation solutions
  • Develop and maintain Jenkins pipelines and automation workflows
  • Administer and troubleshoot Tomcat and JBoss Web Server environments
  • Perform system monitoring, performance tuning, and root cause analysis
  • Support application deployments and release activities
  • Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to resolve production issues
  • Ensure compliance with security and operational requirements
  • Create and maintain technical documentation

Requirements

  • Strong hands-on experience with Linux administration
  • Experience with system security, hardening, and vulnerability remediation
  • Hands-on experience with Jenkins and automation tools
  • Experience with shell scripting
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes
  • Knowledge of Tomcat or Red Hat JBoss Web Server (JWS)
  • Experience with system monitoring and troubleshooting
  • Understanding of networking and operating system fundamentals
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good communication skills and experience working in international teams

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge of IBM WebSphere Liberty (WLP)
  • Knowledge of IBM MQ
  • Knowledge of IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE)
  • Experience in the banking or financial services sector
  • Experience with containerization technologies
  • Experience with cloud platforms
  • Experience with Ansible or other configuration management tools
