Senior Manager - Commercial & Specialty Insurance

About the Position

We're partnering with a leading consultancy seeking a Senior Manager to join its Investment Management & Wealth Technology & Transformation practice, specialising in AI and Data Architecture.

Location: London / Edinburgh (Hybrid)

Salary: £95k + bonus + benefits

This is a senior client-facing role focused on helping investment and wealth organisations modernise their data capabilities, design enterprise-scale architectures, and deliver complex transformation programmes across business and technology functions.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of enterprise data strategies and AI-enabled transformation programmes
• Define scalable data architecture principles, target-state operating models, and solution road maps
• Drive improvements across data governance, data quality, master data management, analytics, and reporting capabilities
• Lead client workshops and engage senior stakeholders across business and technology teams
• Support the development of proposals, RFP responses, business cases, and go-to-market initiatives
• Manage and mentor high-performing multidisciplinary teams across large-scale delivery programmes
• Work closely with enterprise architects, engineering teams, and business leaders to align transformation initiatives across regions and functions

Requirements

• Strong experience within Investment Management, Asset Management, or Wealth Management environments
• Expertise across enterprise data architecture, data modelling, governance, and modern cloud data platforms
• Experience with technologies such as Snowflake, Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, Bloomberg, MSCI, Refinitiv, Charles River, or similar ecosystems
• Proven ability to lead complex transformation engagements and manage senior stakeholder relationships
• Strong consulting, programme delivery, and people leadership experience
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Nice to Have

• Experience designing AI-enabled data products and platforms
• Certifications across cloud, data, or AI technologies
• Knowledge of agile and waterfall delivery methodologies
• CFA, CISI, CAIA, or related financial services certifications
