Responsibilities

As an experienced Senior Manager (m/w/d) - M&A, you will lead a high-performing team and be responsible for strategic transactions from identifying suitable companies/technologies through various project phases (business case modeling, due diligence, contract negotiations) to integration and ongoing investment monitoring. You will work closely with the executive board and leaders from various departments, and therefore, you will be deeply involved in decision-making processes. We are looking for an engaged individual who wants to contribute to business development at Brainlab and quickly take on the following tasks independently:

  • Conducting global M&A transactions (including term sheets, due diligence, decision templates for the executive board and supervisory board, contract negotiations, and post-merger integration)
  • Creating business models for evaluating transactions and strategic initiatives
  • Investment monitoring and continuous critical examination of the underlying business plans
  • Coordinating internal and external contacts for the accounting of investments (purchase price allocation, impairment tests)
  • Training and knowledge transfer to colleagues from other departments (e.g., product management, R&D product owners) on business cases and financial modeling
  • Developing the M&A strategy and AI-supported trend radar together with colleagues from various departments
  • Participating in the development and implementation of important strategic initiatives
  • Systematically developing M&A team members

Requirements

  • Successfully completed university degree
  • At least 6 years of relevant professional experience in M&A, investment banking, or corporate finance
  • Initial experience in leadership roles is desirable but not mandatory
  • Solid knowledge in financial analysis, negotiation, and M&A project management including due diligence
  • Ideally supplemented by practical experience in post-merger integration, investment monitoring, and preparation of investment committee meetings
  • Excellent proficiency in MS-Office
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills, quick comprehension, accurate work, and interest in the medical technology sector
  • Very good German and fluent English language skills
