Senior Manager – Regulatory Project Management

Department: Risk

Location: Berlin

About the Opportunity

N26 has reimagined banking for today’s digital world. Technology and design empower everything we do and it’s how we are building the global banking platform the world loves to use. We've eliminated physical branches, paperwork, and hidden fees for an elegant digital experience and supreme savings. Giving people the power to live and bank their way is what gets us out of bed in the morning and inspires the work that we do.

Founded in 2013, N26 now has more than 8 million customers in 24 markets. We are headquartered in Berlin with offices in multiple cities across Europe, including Vienna and Barcelona, and a 1,500-strong team of more than 80 nationalities.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead the secure execution and seamless coordination of high-priority regulatory projects at N26.

Responsibilities

  • Define and lead the bank's regulatory project portfolio. Oversee the end-to-end management, design, and execution of multiple high-impact projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to our exacting standards.
  • Lead, manage, and support a dedicated team of Regulatory Project Managers. Foster an inclusive, high-performing environment by setting clear goals, providing continuous mentorship, and conducting rigorous performance reviews.
  • Take full responsibility for the team’s strategic direction. Regularly report directly to the Executive Team and the Board of Directors on project statuses, strategic risks, and milestone achievements.
  • Lead structured problem-solving sessions for key company issues. Analyze highly complex organizational and regulatory problems, identify root causes, and make swift, informed decisions to mitigate systemic risks.
  • Collaborate closely with C-level leadership to ensure absolute strategic alignment across the organization. Serve as the definitive, central point of connection for both internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

Background:

  • Master’s degree in Business, Law, Finance, or a related technical/analytical field.
  • 10+ years of experience in financial services project delivery, with at least 3 to 5 years in a direct people-management and department-leadership capacity.
  • Proven experience managing departmental budgets and optimizing resource allocation across competing high-impact projects.
  • Fluency in English, along with excellent executive presentation and storytelling skills.

Skills:

  • Mastery of frameworks (e.g., Lean Six Sigma, 5 Whys) to diagnose operational and compliance failures and implement permanent fixes.
  • Ability to dynamically shift human capital, budget, and tech bandwidth across multiple massive projects as regulatory priorities evolve.
  • The capability to command a room at the Board or C-suite level, translating technical and legal blockers into clear, commercial risk choices.

We Offer

  • Accelerate your career growth by joining one of Europe’s most talked about disruptors 🚀.
  • Employee benefits that range from a competitive personal development budget, work from home budget, discounts to fitness & wellness memberships, language apps, and public transportation.
  • As an N26 employee, you will have access to a Premium subscription on your personal N26 bank account. As well as subscriptions for friends and family members.
  • Additional day of annual leave for each year of service.
  • A high degree of autonomy and access to cutting-edge technologies - all while working with a friendly team of peers of diverse nationalities, experiences, and backgrounds.
  • A relocation package with visa support for those who need it.
