About the Position
We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer with over 5 years of experience to design technical solutions in mechanical areas for a main Swedish Automotive OEM, ensuring they meet given prerequisites such as function, style, volume, geometry, costs, quality targets, and regulations. The successful candidate will support and lead mechanical design engineering activities in a specific area, actively participate in the delivery process, integrate deliveries from others, and ensure quality and readiness before release. Additionally, they will be responsible for ensuring that the design fulfills business targets and requirements, participating in business development and innovation, and managing networking across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Design technical solutions in mechanical areas according to given prerequisites
- Support and lead mechanical design engineering activities in a specific area
- Integrate deliveries from others and ensure quality and readiness before release
- Ensure that the design fulfills business targets and requirements
- Participate in business development and innovation
- Develop and manage networking across the organization
- Provide inputs to project prerequisites based on component history
- Share knowledge and develop others
- Articulate how they are creating value within their part for the TD/BA
Requirements
- 5+ years of relevant experience
- Automotive knowledge, preferably in trucks (merit)
- Comprehension in servo, suspension, and axle installations
- Knowledge in KOLA Volvo GTT experience
Skills
- Mandatory CAD knowledge, preferably in ProE/CREO
- Automotive knowledge
- Proficient in documenting and sharing project status
- Knowledge in servo, suspension, and axle installations
- KOLA Volvo GTT experience (merit)

- Location: Göteborg, Sweden
- Salary: Up to 583 SEK/hour
- Start date: 2024-10-21
- End date (renewable): 2025-07-11
