Senior Network Engineer

About the Position

We are seeking a Senior Network Engineer with expertise in Cisco ACI, L2/L3 networking, and cloud connectivity to lead network design and optimization in Guadalajara, Mexico.

Responsibilities

• Lead deployment, configuration, and optimization of Cisco ACI fabric components.
• Experience in Juniper and Arista datacenter switching and routing.
• Experience in Load Balancing / Application Delivery (F5 LTM/GTM/Enterprise Manager/vCMP, Viprion).
• Strong skills and hands-on experience with cloud networking concepts in Azure (VNET, NSG, ASG, UDR, Express Route, VNET Gateway, etc.) and other cloud providers such as GCP, AWS.
• Design and configure ACI constructs including VRFs, Bridge Domains, EPGs, contracts, and associated policies.
• Implement segmentation and micro-segmentation strategies in ACI environments.
• Oversee ACI fabric maintenance, upgrades, and operational health checks.
• Partner with architects on high-level design decisions and solution validation.
• Design and implement hybrid connectivity solutions (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Configure Direct Connect, ExpressRoute, VPN gateways, and cloud routing architectures.
• Integrate ACI with cloud-native networking services to support hybrid workload traffic flows.
• Ensure best practices for cloud network security, routing, and performance optimization.
• Perform deep-dive diagnostics, packet captures, and traffic-flow analysis.
• Lead incident root cause analysis and preventive remediation activities.
• Contribute to High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) documentation.
• Create operational runbooks, implementation guides, and standard operating procedures.
• Ensure adherence to compliance requirements, network governance standards, and change management processes.

Requirements

• Strong expertise in Cisco ACI (policy model, spine-leaf architecture, multi-pod/multi-site concepts).
• Solid understanding of L2/L3 networking (BGP, OSPF, VXLAN, EVPN).
• Strong experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP networking constructs and hybrid-cloud connectivity.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for complex network issues.
• Excellent documentation and communication skills.

Nice to Have

• CCNP Data Center or CCNP Enterprise.
• Cloud networking certifications: AWS Advanced Networking Specialty, Azure Network Engineer Associate, Google Cloud Professional Cloud Network Engineer.
• Network monitoring and alerting and Dashboarding: Solarwinds Orion, Netflow, Grafana, Net Brain, etc.
• Strong scripting and automation skills: PowerShell, Python, Ansible, and Terraform.
• Experienced in troubleshooting TCP/IP packet capture and analysis using Wireshark and Network Monitor.
