About the Company

Glovo is part of the Delivery Hero Group, the world’s pioneering local delivery platform, our mission is to deliver an amazing experience - fast, easy, and to your door. We operate in around 65 countries worldwide. Headquartered in Berlin, Germany. Delivery Hero has been listed on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange since 2017 and is part of the MDAX stock market index.

About the Role

As a Senior Operations Project Manager, you will step away from generic corporate management and take full ownership of the largest, highest-impact strategic initiatives inside Glovo Kazakhstan's Operations team. This role is designed for a heavyweight, autonomous executor who thrives in the real physical world of logistics excellence, quick-commerce, and high-intensity fleet operations. You will directly manage our complex 3PL network, build out our hyper-growth Logistics as a Service (LaaS) business vertical with major enterprise players, and completely revolutionize our Partner Operations metrics.

This role operates with absolute autonomy and carries a fast-track progression track to transition into a manager and head-level position (Head of Operations) in the future. If you look at the on-demand delivery space and see a blank canvas for structural optimization rather than just software bugs, this is the ride of your life.

Responsibilities

  • Drive LaaS Direction: Take end-to-end strategic ownership of our Logistics as a Service vertical, scaling operations with our largest partners in Kazakhstan.
  • Scale the 3PL Ecosystem: Strategically lead and manage our Third-Party Logistics (3PL) partners, shifting them from simple settlement processors to proactive, high-performing fleet management companies responsible for courier acquisition, retention, and strict compliance.
  • Own Partner Operations Excellence: Hyper-focus on user experience metrics at the partner level, optimizing crucial performance bottlenecks like partner’s Preparation Time and avoidable waiting time (aWT) of couriers.
  • Operate inside a High-Bar Autonomy Framework: Act without regular day-to-day supervision. You will identify process cracks, establish operational protocols, and execute rapid mitigations under extreme saturation or seasonal crises (such as bad weather operations).
  • Lead Strategic Negotiations: Own commercial and operational negotiations with major accounts, distributors, and external providers to secure cost savings and improve the bottom-line P&L.

Requirements

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical discipline (e.g. Engineering, Economics, Computer Science, Business Administration or similar).
  • Experience: 2–4 years of robust project management experience inside high-velocity operational environments (e.g., foodtech aggregators, quick-commerce, retail logistics hubs, on-demand express delivery). Pure software or IT project management backgrounds are not highly relevant for this hands-on, ground-level logistics role.
  • Skills:
    • Exceptional capability in handling external vendors, structural pushbacks, and building long-term contractual frameworks.
    • A data-driven mentality with strong analytical skills: taking decisions based on data and using good business judgment when necessary.
    • Problem-solving skills and hands-on attitude: no problem is too small or too big.
    • You're an owner, you have a natural bias for action, always pushing for things to happen and result-oriented.
    • Comfortable working in a high growth and high-performance start-up with a fast pace.
    • Excellent stakeholder management. Experience interacting effectively at multiple levels of the organization is highly valued.
    • You manage your workload efficiently, juggle multiple priorities, and stay on top of follow-ups.
    • Proficiency in English, Kazakh - written and oral.
