About the Position
Senior Paid Search Specialist
G2 is the world's largest and most trusted software marketplace. We are looking for a world-class Paid Search marketer to join our growing, high-performing Performance Marketing team. This role is a great opportunity to expand your skill set and take on new challenges across the digital landscape, including day-to-day management of paid search campaigns (in platform) and key projects for the G2 Digital Markets web properties (Capterra, GetApp, and Software Advice). This role will report to the Manager, Paid Search.

Responsibilities
In this role, the Senior Paid Search Specialist will be responsible for:
- Day-to-day performance: Driving revenue with a great ROAS via our paid search channel, across Google and Bing, including optimizations around bidding, creative, and audiences.
- Build & optimize paid search campaigns: Managing several high-budget key accounts within the first few weeks.
- Paid Search Subject Matter Expert: Serving as the Paid Search subject matter expert and one of the main experts about all things Paid Search.
- Data-driven decision making: Leveraging in-house reporting systems and analytical tools to master data-driven analysis and optimizations and improve campaign performance.
- Global collaboration: Collaborating globally with our teams in the US and Europe to report the performance, results, and trends of the Paid Search campaigns on a regular basis.
Daily Breakdown
- 70%: Campaign strategy, planning, execution, and optimization: Create, test, iterate, and optimize the Paid Search campaigns in Google and Bing.
- 10%: Reporting and communicating: Report and present the performance (Results & data-driven reasons) of your campaigns, your action plans, roadmap, and your forecast to the leadership and other team members.
- 10%: Collaborating: Engage with diverse internal teams (spanning analytics, creative, marketing ops, and technical departments) to ensure seamless alignment on campaign deliverables and timelines. Build strong relationships with ad platform representatives to stay ahead of industry developments and drive innovation.
- 10%: Focus time for any data-driven, analytical, and business-led ad-hoc project (Related to your Paid Search pod or the overall Growth Org).
Requirements
- Minimum Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of hands-on/tactical experience managing Paid Search campaigns.
- Experience managing a minimum of $50K monthly USD budget.
- A knack for reporting and Excel. You can analyze large data sets and know all the important Excel functions like sorting, filtering, VLOOKUP, concatenations, and pivot tables.
- Inherent problem-solving skills. You possess the experience, intellect, and know-how to analyze, plan, execute, and deliver top-notch results.
- A driven and self-starting personality. You should have a thirst to constantly learn more about digital marketing through reading, continued training, and learning from other team members as you grow in this role and with our business.
- A bachelor’s degree and/or relevant marketing certifications. Exceptions can be made with strong real-world experience.
- Must be US-based. Austin, TX candidates preferred (hybrid 2 days/week); open to fully remote for the right candidate.
