We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Performance Test Engineer to ensure that our software applications meet and exceed performance, scalability, and reliability standards.

Our client is a leading multi-national lottery operator with a market-leading presence in Austria, the Czech Republic, Greece, Cyprus, and Italy. They build better lotteries that return more to good causes by focusing on innovation, technology, efficiency, and safety across a growing casual gaming entertainment portfolio.

In this role, you will be responsible for designing and executing performance tests, analyzing results to identify bottlenecks and optimization opportunities, and collaborating closely with development teams to resolve performance-related issues. You will continuously monitor system performance, identify trends, and recommend improvements to enhance overall application quality.

Responsibilities

• Ticket analysis and test planning
• Development of performance tests based on ACs
• Support/Implement the deployment process of test environments and be able to debug them
• Conduct code reviews following best engineering practices and coding standards
• Set up and maintain Performance infrastructure
• Responsible for generating Performance Test Reports
• Implement supporting scripts and tools
• Collaborate with Product owners, QAs, Dev, DevOps, and Security teams to ensure code quality and improve the quality of the deliverables

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience working as a Performance Engineer
• Proficiency in JavaScript
• Hands-on experience with K6
• Experience with Kubernetes
• Experience in testing and developing web services (REST and/or SOAP)
• A good appreciation of coding standards, and design best practices and a keen desire to apply them
• Experience in estimating, planning, and coordinating test activities
• Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal)
• Growth Mindset (Manage change, Accept feedback, Resilience, Flexible behavior)
• Competence to work in a fast-paced environment

Nice to Have

• Open source projects or contributions
• A DevOps mentality with experience in Linux distribution, and deployments
• University-level degree (at postgraduate level is a plus) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a relevant field of study
