Zeeks is a technology company that develops infrastructure, analytical, and service products for the international iGaming market. We work with B2B and B2B2C models, where accuracy of processes, data quality, and scalability of technological solutions play a key role.

We are currently looking for a Senior Back-end Developer who will join the development of the Zeeks product ecosystem.

This role is for an engineer who can think systemically: about architecture, performance, code quality, security, stability, and long-term support of solutions.

In this role, you will not just close tasks in the backlog, but will participate in shaping technical solutions, developing backend services, APIs, integrations, and high-traffic web products in close collaboration with the Product Manager and cross-functional teams.

Requirements

• 6+ years of commercial experience in backend development with PHP;
• Deep practical experience with Laravel: service layer, queues, jobs, events, caching, authorization, testing;
• Experience designing and maintaining REST/GraphQL APIs;
• Confident understanding of MySQL/PostgreSQL: schema design, query optimization, indexes, transactions, performance analysis;
• Practical experience with Redis, caching, queues, and asynchronous data processing;
• Experience with RabbitMQ, Kafka, or similar message brokers;
• Proficiency with Git, Docker, CI/CD;
• Understanding of security principles: OWASP, OAuth2, JWT, CSRF, XSS;
• Ability to write clean, tested, and maintainable code according to SOLID, Clean Code, PSR;
• Experience participating in code reviews, technical discussions, and making engineering decisions;
• English at B2 level, sufficient for technical communication, working with documentation, and international context.

Nice to Have

• Experience with highload or high-traffic systems;
• Experience with WordPress, Statamic, or other CMS/headless CMS in the context of custom development, integrations, and optimization;
• Experience with modernizing legacy solutions, refactoring, or technical auditing;
• Experience with AWS, GCP, Cloudflare, or other cloud/CDN services;
• Understanding of JAMStack approaches or experience with Node.js;
• Practice in building observability processes: logs, metrics, monitoring, alerting.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and enhance backend solutions for the Zeeks product ecosystem;
• Participate in making architectural decisions: service structure, API contracts, integration approaches, scalability, and reliability;
• Develop and maintain REST/GraphQL APIs for internal and external services;
• Work with caching, queues, asynchronous processes, and integrations with third-party services;
• Optimize application, database, and critical business scenario performance;
• Maintain engineering standards: code review, test coverage, security, technical documentation, architecture quality;
• Assist the team in technical analysis, decomposition of complex tasks, and choosing optimal solutions;
• Participate in the gradual modernization of existing products and improvement of developer experience.
