Responsibilities
As a Senior Platform Consultant at Xebia Group, you will operate at the intersection of strategy, architecture, and organisational change. Your role will involve:
- Helping clients adopt Platform Engineering effectively by ensuring that technically solid platforms are designed and successfully implemented within the organization.
- Understanding the intricacies of great platforms, from cloud-native architecture and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to CI/CD pipelines and golden paths.
- Navigating complexity and leading with clarity to align teams around a shared vision.
- Engaging in various challenges across different industries, defining strategies, facilitating organizational change, and coaching teams on platform capabilities.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- Experience in consultancy or advisory roles.
- At least 5 years of experience in cloud/platform architecture and delivery.
- Hands-on familiarity with cloud infrastructure.
- A strong background in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), and modern Platform Engineering practices.
- Ability to define high-level direction and goals, and translate them into concrete actions and deliverables.
- Experience in facilitating workshops, retrospectives, and cross-team alignment sessions to drive collaboration and clarity.
- Ability to clearly communicate complex ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, adjusting tone and detail to the audience.
- Comfort in engaging with both business and technical stakeholders to ensure shared understanding and progress.
