Job Description, Responsibilities & Requirements

About the Position

Bryntum’s components are used in applications at thousands of companies worldwide, for scheduling, planning and operations. Those systems depend on infrastructure that is reliable, secure and easy to maintain.

That's where you come in.

Bryntum's JavaScript components are embedded in business-critical systems at 5,000 companies across 80 countries. Keeping that infrastructure reliable, secure and scalable is the foundation everything else rests on.

Bryntum is looking for a Senior Platform Engineer who takes that responsibility and wants to help us build for the next phase of growth.

About the Role

You'll join a small Platform and Infra team and take on a broad role spanning development, operations and infrastructure. You'll work fullstack, from database to frontend, while sharing ownership of the AWS environment and the systems our customers depend on. Alongside two colleagues, you'll have access to production servers and the systems that keep Bryntum running. We need someone who is thorough, dependable, and takes pride in doing things properly.

The role covers everything from building and maintaining internal tools, customer zone and back-office systems, to driving our cloud journey forward. We need someone who is comfortable moving across the stack and isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves on whatever needs attention. Whether that's writing application code, scripting automation or shaping our deployment setup.

We're in the middle of a maturity journey: moving towards AWS, consolidating infrastructure and replacing ad hoc solutions with more robust setups. You'll be part of shaping that transition alongside your colleagues, with real ownership over the decisions you make.

  • Work fullstack, from database to frontend
  • Share ownership of the AWS environment and systems our customers depend on
  • Build and maintain internal tools, customer zone and back-office systems

  • 8+ years of experience as a fullstack engineer with strong exposure to DevOps, platform or infrastructure work
  • Comfortable across the stack – from server and database to frontend
  • Solid experience with AWS, Docker, and cloud infrastructure
  • Strong scripting and automation skills, Node.js and Bash in particular
  • Experience with GitHub
  • Experience managing virtual server environments
  • A methodical, detail-oriented approach, this is a trust role with access to production

Nice to Have

  • Experience using AI tools like Claude Code for scripting, debugging or operational workflows
  • Fluent English, Swedish is a plus

We Offer

  • 6 weeks of vacation
  • ITP pension and insurance
  • Wellness allowance
  • Freedom with responsibility. You own your day as long as the work gets done
  • Hybrid model with a Stockholm hub at Epicenter
  • One joint team trip per year where the whole organization comes together

About the Company

Bryntum was founded in 2009 by Mats, who remains CEO and active in the company today. In 2025 we were acquired by Adelis Equity Partners and are now establishing a Stockholm hub at Epicenter.

For over 15 years we've delivered world-class JavaScript components for scheduling, project management and data visualization. We're a team of developers driven by quality and genuine passion for what we build. The culture is unpretentious and open. We believe in freedom with responsibility and a low meeting culture, so you can focus on what actually matters and what you enjoy. Read more about us here: Bryntum
