Responsibilities

  • Design, build, test, deploy, and maintain platform capabilities used by engineering teams across DraftKings.
  • Develop clean, scalable, and maintainable software, primarily using C# and.NET Core.
  • Build and improve platform infrastructure through software engineering and automation to enable reliable and efficient application delivery.
  • Manage and enhance Kubernetes-based environments, including automating deployments using Helm Charts.
  • Apply GitOps practices to improve deployment automation, consistency, and reliability.
  • Build solutions for distributed systems and microservice environments with a focus on scalability, resiliency, and performance.
  • Troubleshoot complex application and infrastructure issues across distributed environments.
  • Partner with engineering teams and stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
  • Conduct code reviews, contribute to engineering best practices, and mentor other engineers.
  • Improve observability, performance testing, deployment strategies, and operational excellence across the platform.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of professional software development experience, ideally with experience in C# and.NET Core.
  • Experience building and supporting distributed systems and microservice architectures.
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, containerization, and modern application deployment practices.
  • Strong software engineering fundamentals and an understanding of the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve issues across complex distributed environments.
  • Understanding of modern deployment strategies, including canary and blue-green deployments.
  • Familiarity with GitOps methodologies and infrastructure and application deployment automation.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP.
  • Familiarity with observability platforms such as Datadog and the ELK Stack.
  • Experience with end-to-end performance testing at scale is a plus.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

We Offer

  • Competitive salary range: $119,500.00 - $149,400.00 USD per year, plus bonus, equity, and benefits.
  • Comprehensive health benefits, including medical, dental, and vision.
  • Free access to programs such as free therapy sessions, Calm App, Virtual Yoga Classes, and more.
  • 14 weeks of 100% paid parental leave for all global team members.
  • Family planning support, including adoption, surrogacy, fertility treatments, and more.
  • Flexible PTO for employees in the United States.
  • Pet insurance to help save on vet expenses.
  • Gym reimbursement for enrolled health insurance plan members.
  • Financial planning assistance, including 401(k) matching and Origin Financial programs.
  • Commuter benefits to help lower daily commute costs.
