Senior Platform Engineering Architect (m/f/d)

About the Position

We are seeking a Senior Platform Engineering Architect (m/f/d), with extensive experience in leading complex software solutions for clients, specializing in cloud architectures and platform engineering.

Responsibilities

• Define optimal technological solutions for complex Platform Engineering projects, covering key aspects such as the development platform, execution platform, SDLC under security, performance, automation, and resilience paradigms.
• Evaluate, select, and adopt technologies, tools, and products that improve the software development cycle.
• Ensure that implemented solutions meet the quality, security, and efficiency standards of T-Systems and the client.
• Technically lead software development teams, promoting agile methodologies and best practices in coding, integration, and deployment.
• Oversee the code quality, performance, scalability, and security of developed solutions.
• Define and implement DevOps and CI/CD strategies under the paradigms of Everything as Code and GitOps.
• Lead the construction of assets that can accelerate the implementation of IDPs (Internal Developer Platforms) in clients.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation and standards for the development team.
• Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to ensure the adoption of the Platform Engineering paradigm.
• Identify and manage technical risks, proposing innovative solutions to complex problems.
• Support the project manager in estimating efforts and planning tasks.
• Act as the technical reference/advisory interlocutor for the client and validate the previously designed solutions with them.
• Foster the iterative improvement of internal standards and practices based on project experiences.

Requirements

Mandatory Requirements:

• University degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• More than 10 years of experience in developing and implementing complex software solutions for clients, with at least 5 years as a technical leader, defining Cloud architectures and coordinating multidisciplinary teams with direct client interaction.
• Proven experience in implementing modern software development lifecycle management platforms (SDLC), with IDP (Internal Developer Platform) approaches, Everything as Code (Infrastructure as Code, Policies as Code, etc.) and GitOps.
• Mastery in the design and development of complex software solutions, covering application, integration, and platform areas.
• Experience in microservices, APIs, events, and cloud computing architectures (AWS, Azure, GCP) and container platforms.
• Solid experience in modern programming languages (Java, C#, Python, JavaScript, etc.).
• Knowledge of agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and technical project management.
• Strong leadership, communication, and management skills for multidisciplinary teams.
• Advanced/native Spanish.

Desirable Requirements:

• Advanced English.
• Technological certifications in Backstage, K8s, Terraform, GitHub.
