Senior PM / Dyrektor Operacyjny Projektu

About the Position

We are seeking a Senior PM / Dyrektor Operacyjny Projektu with extensive experience in managing complex IT projects and programs for a leading insurance company.

Responsibilities

• Management and Coordination: Oversee the operational and strategic program of AI transformation involving multiple parallel streams.
• Planning and Execution: Plan, organize, and supervise the implementation of AI initiatives (scope, schedule, budget, quality control).
• Coordination: Ensure coherence between AI business initiatives, AI Platform, AI Governance, Cybersecurity AI, FinOps AI, and Change Management.
• Stakeholder Coordination: Coordinate work between business, IT, architects, data teams, compliance, and suppliers.
• Roadmap Development: Create and implement an AI roadmap, ensuring compliance with AI Governance, FinOps, and regulations.
• Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor and report on the realization of business benefits, KPIs, and adoption indicators of AI solutions in the organization.
• Risk Management: Oversee project, technology, regulatory, and operational risk management processes related to AI implementation.
• Compliance Assurance: Ensure that implemented initiatives comply with regulatory requirements, information security, personal data protection, and AI Governance and Responsible AI standards.
• Operational Model Support: Support the definition and implementation of the operational model for AI solutions, including maintenance, development, quality monitoring, and accountability processes.
• Risk and Dependency Management: Manage project risks, dependencies, and remove operational barriers.
• Reporting and Analysis: Prepare reports, ROI analyses, and recommendations for the Steering Committee and C-level.
• Budget Planning: Plan budgets, control finances, and monitor the cost-effectiveness of AI initiatives and cloud services.
• Adoption Coordination: Coordinate actions related to AI adoption, building organizational competencies, and preparing the organization for an AI-ready model.
• Technical and Organizational Support: Provide subject matter and organizational support for the acquisition and implementation of AI solutions.
• Quality Monitoring: Monitor the quality and timeliness of delivered solutions.
• Decision Support: Support decision-making, analyze results, identify business opportunities, and recommend optimization actions.
• Portfolio Management: Manage a portfolio of AI initiatives, ensuring optimal resource utilization through prioritization and dependency management.

Requirements

• Minimum 7 years of experience in managing complex IT projects and programs at the intersection of business and technology.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in leading transformative/strategic programs with a budget over 20 million PLN and multiple parallel streams.
• Experience in projects related to AI, GenAI, data platforms (Data Platform, Data Lake, Data Hub), digital transformation, and clouds (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Experience in large matrix organizations with teams of at least 1000 people.
• Experience in managing operational model change projects, business processes, and organizational change management.
• Experience in projects with Generative AI, LLM, chatbots, AI and Machine Learning agents.
• Knowledge of Agile, Scrum, Kanban, and hybrid Agile-Waterfall methodologies.
• Ability to assess the business value of AI initiatives, define KPIs, and adoption metrics.
• Experience in building transformative AI roadmaps and coordinating implementations.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements: AI Act, GDPR, DORA, NIS2, Responsible AI standards, data bias, and model explainability.
• Very good knowledge of planning, budgeting, management reporting, business benefit monitoring, risk management, and dependency management processes.
• Experience in reporting to C-level executives.
• Coordination of teams of at least 50 people (architecture, Data Science, developers, business experts, external suppliers).
• Ability to manage multiple parallel projects and dependencies.
• Developed leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to make decisions under high uncertainty.
• Very good knowledge of tools: Jira, Confluence, MS Project, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint.
• Higher technical education (computer science, automation, mathematics, econometrics, or related).
• PM certification: PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner, or SAFe.

Nice to Have

• Experience in the financial, insurance, or banking sector.
• Knowledge of AI Governance, Data Governance, Platformy AI, Enterprise Architecture.
• Knowledge of AI solution architecture, including Microsoft Azure AI Services, Azure AI Foundry, Azure AI OpenAPI, RAG, AI agents, and data platforms supporting AI.
• Certificates: Microsoft Azure AI Engineer, Azure Solutions Architect, AI Governance, AI Act Practitioner, TOGAF.
• Experience in implementing Microsoft Copilot or other Enterprise AI solutions.
• Knowledge of FinOps for cloud environments and AI.
