Senior PostgreSQL DBA (STIB-PU_2026_052)

About the Position

We are seeking a Senior PostgreSQL DBA (STIB-PU_2026_052) to manage and implement a new high-availability enterprise platform in Brussels, Belgium. This is a long-term mission with an initial duration of 4 months in 2026, followed by annual renewals.

Responsibilities

• Technical Lead PostgreSQL: Implement and manage a new high-availability enterprise platform.
• Replication Strategies: Manage strategies for replication, Disaster Recovery, and backup via Veeam.
• Automation: Automate deployments and manage the database lifecycle.
• Support: Collaborate in L3 support for DB platforms, define standards, procedures, and draft the DB Roadmap.
• Knowledge Transfer: Transfer knowledge to the existing team.
• Service Continuity: Ensure daily management continuity for Oracle platforms under Exadata Cloud@Customer (ExACC – X9M) and MS SQL Server under VMware.

Requirements

• Languages:

  • French or Dutch: excellent (one of these two languages is mandatory)
  • Second language (French or Dutch): good
  • English: good

  • PostgreSQL: Expert
  • Linux: Intermediate
  • vSphere: Intermediate
  • Redhat: Intermediate
  • Ansible: Advanced
  • Grafana: Intermediate
