You will be part of a multidisciplinary team where data engineering, architecture, AI, analytics, governance, and visualization come together. Together, we help clients extract more value from their data: from setting up the right data foundations to building dashboards, analytics solutions, and AI use cases that support better decision-making.

As a Senior Power BI Consultant, you will contribute by transforming complex data into clear insights, strong data models, and reporting solutions that people can truly use.

You will take a leading role in the execution of our BI projects. You will work end-to-end throughout the entire reporting lifecycle, but also take ownership of the solutions you design: from defining the data model and architecture to ensuring performance, governance, and long-term maintainability. You will help shape the structure and quality of the BI environment at our clients.

In addition to building dashboards, you will actively coach and support colleagues in applying best practices around data modeling, DAX, visualization, and deployment. You will act as a reference point within the team and contribute to the further development of our internal methodology, reusable assets, and standards. You will also work proactively with data engineers, architects, and business stakeholders to realize scalable, user-friendly, and impactful reporting solutions.

We are looking for a Senior Power BI Consultant who combines strong technical expertise with a consulting mindset. You can design high-quality BI solutions, challenge business requirements when necessary, and guide colleagues towards best practices.

Responsibilities

• Transform complex data into clear insights and scalable reporting solutions.
• Work end-to-end throughout the entire reporting lifecycle.
• Define data models and architecture, ensuring performance, governance, and long-term maintainability.
• Coach and support colleagues in applying best practices around data modeling, DAX, visualization, and deployment.
• Act as a reference point within the team and contribute to the development of internal methodology, reusable assets, and standards.
• Collaborate with data engineers, architects, and business stakeholders to realize impactful reporting solutions.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in BI, with at least 3 years of hands-on experience with Power BI.
• Ability to deliver end-to-end Power BI solutions: data modeling, DAX, transformations, visualization, and deployment.
• Understanding of how to build scalable and performant models and apply best practices throughout the development lifecycle.
• Ability to work fluently with business stakeholders and translate needs into clear KPIs and reporting logic.
• Responsibility for the design and quality of solutions and satisfaction in coaching colleagues on best practices.
• Fluency with Power BI Service, including workspace management, dataset governance, deployment, sharing, and Row-Level Security (RLS).
• Experience with external Power BI tools such as Tabular Editor and DAX Studio.
• Ability to communicate fluently with Data Engineers and understand modern data platform concepts. You can translate business requirements into technical data nodes, proactively detect potential challenges around data or modeling, and think about appropriate solutions.
• Experience with Azure, Databricks, Power Automate, or Power Apps is a plus.
• Adding dashboards or a portfolio to your application is a plus.
• Proficiency in English and Dutch and/or French.
