Job Description, Responsibilities & Requirements

About the Position

We are conducting a search for a Senior Product Manager to join our client’s product team in Palo Alto, CA.

The product manager will be responsible for the product discovery process and design and development process for our client’s pipeline digital diagnostic products in pediatric neurodevelopmental / behavioral health. S/he will follow our client’s SOP’s for the design control process, which guides the product development life cycle, and provide the deep product expertise needed to recommend strategic product decisions that align with broader company goals. S/he will also analyze market and competitive conditions, laying out a product vision that is differentiated and delivers unique value based on customer demands, and define requirements for product features and work cross-functionally with engineering, data science, regulatory, and clinical teams to prioritize and release features into the market.

In addition to pipeline development, our client is working towards commercialization of its first product, a diagnostic aid for Autism Spectrum Disorder. Reporting to the VP of Product, this role will also contribute to defining product requirements for multiple systems integration (such as CRM systems, telemedicine, and scheduling systems).

Responsibilities

  • Gather and define user needs and design input from external stakeholders (caregivers, physicians, distribution partners) and internal stakeholders (regulatory, marketing, clinical, product, engineering, finance)
  • Define user scenarios, product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Manage the development of product features and enhancements through the design control process, working cross-functionally with regulatory, clinical, data science and engineering, and marketing teams.
  • Contribute to business and commercialization strategies

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree (Graduate degree preferred)
  • 10+ years direct work experience in product management
  • Software and Medical Device experience
  • Knowledge of FDA Regulatory Process for Software Development
  • Knowledge and/or experience in Pediatrics a plus
  • Experience integrating with Enterprise and/or Hospital systems a plus
