About the Company

We are the tech powerhouse behind Kaufland’s international online marketplaces and a company within the Schwarz Group. Driven by a start-up mentality and working on an equal footing within flat hierarchies, we develop the best marketplace solutions for our customers, sellers, and partners. #FromEuropeForEurope

Our Tech & Product Team of about 400 experts aims to create the best possible customer shopping experience for our online marketplace. Through innovative technical developments, they create an outstanding shopping experience and lay the foundation for an optimal selling experience for our sellers.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the product strategy, vision, and roadmap for B2C products on the Kaufland Global Marketplace, aligning company goals with customer needs
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, data, and marketing, to deliver high-quality digital products
  • Design and ship LLM-powered product features that elevate the shopping experience and shape how people shop, from the first concept and prompt design through evaluation, quality monitoring, and continuous iteration in production
  • Drive a rigorous experimentation culture: form hypotheses, design and run A/B tests, and turn results into product decisions that drive customer engagement and conversion
  • Define tracking concepts together with analytics teams and use funnel and behavioral data to continually optimize the product so customers can discover, evaluate, and buy the right products with ease
  • Work hand-in-hand with UX designers and researchers to craft intuitive customer journeys, validate them through user research and usability testing, and iterate fast
  • Identify customer needs and pain points at scale through behavioral data, user research, and market trends, and prioritize the opportunities that create the most value
  • Stay on top of AI and e-commerce trends and proactively identify how emerging technologies can create value for our customers

Requirements

  • True builder mindset and a passion for turning ideas into reality
  • Successfully taken a product from scratch, owning everything from early ideation and concept development to execution and delivery
  • Hands-on experience building LLM-based features into consumer products, not just using AI tools for your own productivity
  • Solid B2C product experience, ideally in e-commerce or another consumer product at scale
  • Data savvy and outcome-focused: design and evaluate A/B tests, define tracking concepts, and answer the right questions based on data
  • Always think customer first: strong feel for UX, understand end-users' pain points, and derive actionable insights from research and data
  • Motivated and empathetic communicator experienced in collaborating with software development teams and interacting with different stakeholders
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, pragmatic environment, bring fluent English skills (C1 level), and excel in an international, remote setup

We Offer

  • Create your own work-life balance: Flexibility to choose between working remotely (within Germany) or from one of our locations in Cologne, Darmstadt, Düsseldorf, or Berlin
  • Urban Sports Club and RSG Group Fitness Studios: Get top deals for fitness, swimming, yoga, and more
  • Mental Well-Being: Support on your well-being journey with special offerings such as Instahelp, the digital platform for online psychological counseling
  • Vacation & Sabbatical: Enjoy 30 days of vacation per year and the opportunity to take a sabbatical once you have been part of the team for a certain period
  • Option for Pluxee restaurant vouchers: Buy Pluxee vouchers through us and benefit from tax-advantaged meal allowances
  • Deutschlandticket: We subsidize your train season ticket for more mobility
  • Employee Discount: Receive a monthly coupon for Kaufland.de
  • Free choice of hardware: Mac or Lenovo, it's up to you
  • Boost your growth: Benefit from our online language learning programs, diverse in-house training, and our automated 360-degree feedback
  • Dynamic Culture: Our flat hierarchies, start-up mentality, international team of over 65 nationalities, and the strength of the Schwarz Group provide an agile and secure working environment
  • Team Players: Connect with your team and others through our digital onboarding journey, the buddy program, and regular team and company events, all-hands meetings, powerful mornings, and much more
