Responsibilities

  • As Senior Product Manager, you are the guiding force for your team as you take ownership of our debt collections and garnishment systems, assuming accountability, guiding the product vision, and maintaining a clear roadmap every step of the way to deliver business- and customer-driven outcomes.
  • Using your roadmap, you align the products Collections strategy, regulatory requirements, and global direction, and cultivate a concise and well-defined backlog, always knowing where to prioritise to drive impact and outcome.
  • You lead the rollout of system enhancements, including major releases and regulatory changes. With your strong sense for quality and innovation, you ensure smooth delivery through close collaboration with all stakeholders, as well as structured testing, sign-off, and documentation in line with ING standards.
  • As the central point of contact, you bring together IT, architecture, vendors, and other partners, while working closely with Collections Operations, Risk, Compliance, Legal, and Analytics.
  • When it comes to cross-country initiatives, you represent local needs and ensure alignment with Global standards – escalating conflicts where needed.
  • Everything you do drives the transformation of Collections towards the Global Target Operating Model. Here, you identify gaps, translate them into meaningful roadmap actions, and help bring global solutions to life at the local level.
  • And with a strong sense of responsibility, you keep governance requirements (e.g. MaRisk, outsourcing, data governance) firmly in view, support audits and supervisory interactions, and ensure risks and issues are actively addressed and transparent.

Requirements

  • Degree in Economics, Finance, Mathematics, or equivalent qualification
  • Several years of practical experience as Product Owner or Senior Business Analyst working in a complex, regulated environment
  • Strong understanding of Collections, Credit Risk, or adjacent banking processes is a plus
  • Experience leading system implementations and complex change initiatives across multiple countries
  • Ability to translate strategic objectives into clear, actionable backlogs and delivery plans
  • Solid stakeholder management skills within local and global matrix-based organisations with the drive and energy to mobilise teams within projects
  • Structured, outcome-driven way of working and comfortable making prioritisation decisions
  • Open to cultural diversity in an international environment
  • Fluent in German and English both written and spoken
