About the Position

Senior Product Marketing Manager, Developer Platform

Location: Redwood City, California, United States

Salary: $165,000-$206,500 USD

About the Role

Box is the world’s leader in Intelligent Content Management. We are trusted by more than 115K organizations around the world today, including nearly 70% of the Fortune 500 and leaders across deeply regulated industries to protect their data, fuel collaboration, and power critical workflows with secure, enterprise AI.

We’re hiring a world-class B2B Senior Product Marketing Manager with developer tools and platform experience to lead all GTM efforts. You’ll own the full spectrum of product marketing, from industry positioning and messaging to content development and integrated go-to-market planning, to partnering with the Box developer relations team to engage deeply and credibly with the community.

Responsibilities

  • Build and own the narrative, positioning, and messaging tied to all capabilities of the Box Platform targeting developers.
  • Develop and execute integrated GTM strategies for the Box Platform, partnering with campaign, field, and partner marketing to drive pipeline creation and acceleration.
  • Create high-impact content for 1st and 3rd party external channels (web, blogs, thought leadership, e-books, webinars, events).
  • Deliver ongoing enablement to sales and customer success on developer use cases and personas, competitive dynamics, and objection handling.
  • Partner with product and technical PMMs to align roadmap and messaging to developer use cases needs.
  • Act as a thought leader and spokesperson: join customer meetings, analyst briefings, conferences, and speaking opportunities to elevate Box’s presence in the developer community.
  • Collaborate with strategic accounts and partners to develop case studies, reference stories, and co-marketing that showcase measurable business outcomes.
  • Use AI-first workflows to analyze market signals, refine ICPs and personas, test messaging, and accelerate content creation and competitive research.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in working with developer, development tools, and platforms, with some hands-on development experience as well as experience with developer outreach as a marketer, evangelist, or outbound product manager.
  • Strong interest and understanding of developer trends, particularly the state of AI tools and infrastructure.
  • Participation in developer communities, both online and in-person.
  • A dynamic storyteller with a point of view on the intersection of AI and development.
  • Familiarity with enterprise buying cycles, multi-stakeholder sales, and the needs of life sciences IT and line-of-business buyers; able to translate technical capabilities into business outcomes.
  • Demonstrated ability to craft and deliver executive-ready narratives and presentations; strong public speaking skills and comfort representing Box externally.
  • Proven cross-functional leader and player-coach who influences without authority and drives initiatives across product, sales, CS, and marketing.
  • AI-first mindset with a bias for action; comfortable operating in fast-moving environments and using AI tools to 10x research, insights, and content velocity.

We Offer

  • Competitive salary and equity.
  • Comprehensive benefits including healthcare, mental health, and family support.
  • Generous time off, birthday holidays, VTO, and a sabbatical after seven years.
  • Opportunities for growth through learning programs and clear career paths.
  • Hybrid work environment blending in-person connection with remote flexibility.
  • Community involvement through employee-led resource groups, interest groups, and paid volunteer time off.
  • Wellness support with Fresh Air Days and a monthly wellness subsidy.
