Senior Product Owner

About the Position

We are looking for an experienced Product Owner to join a US-based AI-first startup building cloud-native infrastructure for the tolling and fleet mobility industry. In this role, you will own the product backlog and roadmap, working directly with founders and the engineering team to transform business vision into a clear, prioritized product strategy.

The team develops modern software platforms that power toll transaction processing, payments, vehicle recognition, and fleet infrastructure. The company is currently scaling both its product and engineering organization, building a high-performing AI-augmented team that leverages modern technologies and AI-assisted development practices to deliver mission-critical solutions at scale.

Responsibilities

• Own, prioritize, and continuously refine the product backlog.
• Translate founder vision, customer feedback, and market needs into a clear product roadmap.
• Write detailed user stories and acceptance criteria for the engineering team.
• Partner closely with the Scrum Master to ensure the backlog remains sprint-ready.
• Make day-to-day prioritization and scope decisions to keep engineering teams moving efficiently.
• Represent customer and business priorities during sprint planning, refinement sessions, and reviews.
• Validate completed features against business goals and acceptance criteria.
• Communicate roadmap priorities, trade-offs, and product direction to founders and stakeholders.
• Continuously adapt product priorities as the company and engineering organization scale.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager, preferably in B2B SaaS, fintech, infrastructure, or startup environments.
• Proven experience managing product backlogs and roadmaps for agile engineering teams of 5–15 people.
• Experience working directly with founders, executives, or senior stakeholders, translating business vision into actionable product requirements.
• Strong ability to write clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and maintain a well-structured product backlog.
• Hands-on experience with Jira, Linear, or similar product management tools.
• Understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies.
• Technical fluency to effectively collaborate with engineering teams working with Go, Python, PostgreSQL, AWS, Flutter, and AI-assisted development workflows.
• Experience in fintech, payments, logistics, fleet management, or infrastructure products is a strong advantage.
• CSPO or equivalent Product Owner certification is a plus.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
