Senior Project Manager

About the Position

Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a Senior Project Manager for a part-time position (4 hours per day) in Europe. Our client is a leading multinational company in the building materials industry.

You'll lead the delivery of a fixed-price enterprise web application implementation for a global manufacturing customer. The project involves replacing and modernizing an existing business application used across multiple countries. The Project Manager will coordinate cross-functional delivery teams, customer stakeholders, and third-party participants throughout the complete project lifecycle. The role requires close collaboration with business and technical stakeholders while ensuring successful delivery within agreed scope, timeline, budget, and quality standards.

The project's planned end date is December 18, 2026, with a possible extension to February 01, 2027.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of a fixed-price software implementation project.
• Own project scope, schedule, budget, risks, quality, and overall delivery.
• Build and maintain the project plan, milestones, and delivery roadmap.
• Coordinate cross-functional delivery teams, including Business Analysts, Developers, QA Engineers, UX Designers, Architects, and DevOps Engineers.
• Act as the primary communication point between the customer and the delivery team.
• Facilitate project governance meetings, steering committees, status updates, and executive reporting.
• Manage project risks, dependencies, assumptions, and issue resolution.
• Coordinate requirements gathering and ensure alignment between the business and technical team.
• Drive project execution throughout discovery, design, development, testing, UAT, go-live, and hypercare.
• Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), production readiness activities, and deployment planning.
• Ensure successful Go-Live execution with minimal business disruption.
• Manage scope changes following agreed change management procedures.
• Monitor project financials, resource allocation, and delivery performance.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in project management in software development.
• Proven experience managing enterprise software implementation projects.
• Demonstrated success in delivering fixed-price software projects.
• Solid understanding of managing project risks, dependencies, budgets, and delivery schedules.
• Understanding of the software implementation lifecycle, release management, and change management.
• Strong skills in stakeholder management and communication.
• Advanced German (spoken and written).
• Advanced English (spoken and written).
• Availability for business trips to Basel, Switzerland, during key project phases (Kick-off, end of Concept Phase, and Go-Live readiness review).

Nice to Have

• PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent Project Management certification.
• Technical background or solid understanding of software development and system implementation projects.
