Senior Project Manager (Biopharma)

About the Position

ELEKS’ Project Management Office is looking for a Senior Project Manager in Poland, Croatia, or Germany. Our client is a global pharmaceutical and laboratory equipment supplier based in Germany. The project focuses on developing software solutions for laboratory workflow orchestration, sampling automation, and integration with hardware systems.

Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of end-to-end project delivery, ensuring successful execution within agreed scope, timelines, budget, and quality expectations.
• Manage an established cross-functional project team, ensuring effective collaboration, clear responsibilities, and consistent delivery performance.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with the client and key stakeholders, ensuring transparent communication and alignment on project priorities.
• Manage project financials, including budget planning, forecasting, actuals monitoring, invoicing, and resource allocation.
• Assess the impact of scope and priority changes on timelines, budget, and team capacity, providing recommendations and alternative solutions.
• Proactively identify and manage project risks, issues, and cross-team dependencies, ensuring timely resolution and mitigation.
• Facilitate Scrum ceremonies, remove impediments, and support continuous improvement of Agile delivery practices.
• Coordinate activities and dependencies with other teams and projects within the SAFe environment.
• Monitor delivery performance and provide regular status updates, financial reports, and risk assessments to stakeholders.
• Maintain and continuously improve established delivery processes to ensure project stability, predictability, and efficiency.
• Support team growth and scalability while fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in IT Project Management, including independent ownership of complex software delivery projects.
• Strong client and stakeholder management skills, including expectation management, negotiations, conflict resolution, and escalations.
• Proven experience managing cross-functional and distributed teams in an enterprise environment.
• Solid understanding of Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum, with hands-on experience facilitating ceremonies and managing delivery processes.
• Practical experience in project financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, cost tracking, and resource planning.
• Strong skills in scope, risk, issue, and dependency management.
• Good understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle.
• Ability to independently assess delivery challenges, evaluate options, and make informed decisions.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Proactive, responsible, and independent approach to project delivery.
• Advanced English proficiency.

Nice to Have

• Experience working within SAFe or other scaled Agile environments.
• Previous technical background in software development, QA, or business analysis.
• Experience with software and hardware integration projects.
• Experience in life sciences, pharmaceutical, laboratory automation, or industrial domains.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps.
• Experience introducing AI-assisted tools or practices to improve project delivery efficiency.
