About the Position
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager of Automation who will be responsible for leading the automation initiatives within the client’s company international engineering department. The primary focus will be on optimizing parcel sorting processes across various sites throughout Europe, ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and seamless integration with existing operations. This role requires a combination of strategic planning, project management, technical expertise, and effective collaboration with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
You will have the opportunity to lead groundbreaking projects in robotics and automation and to drive innovation in e-commerce logistics and last-mile delivery across Europe.
Client: A leading provider of out-of-home parcel delivery services dedicated to enhancing the consumer experience and promoting sustainable last-mile delivery methods.

Responsibilities
- Managing projects in all organizational units of the group’s operations area
- Proposing/initiating and implementing initiatives/projects to improve operations work
- Active support for Group Process Design Director and Head of Group Performance Excellence in strategic initiatives (new systems, creative solutions for continuous improvement)
- Defining and optimizing processes in operations – creating ISO processes and policies
- Actively seeking areas for improvements in operations
- Leading process optimization initiatives as a Leader
- Ongoing analysis of existing processes and standards control
- Collaboration/consultation with Supporting Departments (including outside OPS)
- Ongoing reporting of progress/results in implemented changes
- Leading initiatives per the organization’s project standard
- Willingness to work locally/short-term in defined markets
- Supporting up to 6 branches simultaneously (employee efficiency, scorecard) – max on two markets
- Conducting tests to optimize processes
- Active participation in change implementation and communication
- Quality control of implementations and change maintenance
- Building relationships between Lean Teams and operational employees
- Creating instructions and procedures
- Coordinating trainings on good project management practices
- Evaluating effectiveness of initiatives/tools for process improvement
- Controlling performance indicators in branches, planning optimization processes
- Monitoring efficiency of line transport supply chain
Requirements
Must Have:
- Master’s degree or higher in Logistics, Management, Maintenance, or Lean Enterprise
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in Lean solutions implementation
- 2+ years of experience in change management
- 2+ years of experience in project management
- Experience in courier or logistics operations
- Strong working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Practical experience with AutoCAD
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification
- English proficiency at C1 level
- Knowledge of at least one additional local language (Spanish, Italian, or French)
- Proven innovative mindset and continuous improvement approach
