Senior Python Developer

About the Position

We are seeking a Senior Python Developer with 7+ years of experience in investment banking to join our global financial house team in India. The role involves working on MBS and Fixed income products.

Responsibilities

• Communicating with clients to clarify requirements.
• Proposing solutions and designing applications.
• Programming in Python and SQL.
• Developing automated tests.
• Communicating with clients to address user issues.
• Resolving client problems by proposing workarounds and applying fixes.

Requirements

Must Have

• 7+ years of professional experience in Python.
• Investment banking domain knowledge.
• Experience with Windows/Linux OS.
• Experience with MS SQL or Oracle.
• Familiarity with Control-M.
• Ability to communicate verbally with the client in English (written/spoken).
• Analytical thinking.
• Financial markets background.

Nice to Have

• Experience with MBS and Fixed income products.
• Java experience.

Languages

• English: B2 Upper Intermediate

Our client is a USA subsidiary of a global financial house working in multiple markets and asset classes. We are a big international team developing and supporting a range of client projects and requirements. Technologies used include Python, Java, Windows, Linux, and several front office vendor solutions for capital markets including Murex. MS SQL is used as the RDBMS.

The role offers opportunities to work directly with client representatives, expand technical and capital markets knowledge, and develop consultancy/soft skills.
