Senior Python Developer

About the Position

We are seeking a Senior Python Developer to join our team in Latvia or Lithuania. In this role, you will help shape technical decisions, ensure quality delivery, and drive continuous improvement. You will build and enhance backend solutions while collaborating with a distributed team to deliver reliable outcomes for clients.

Responsibilities

• Design scalable Python backend components aligned with project goals
• Build robust APIs and services with maintainable architecture
• Lead technical decision-making and provide guidance to other engineers
• Implement automated tests and enforce code quality standards
• Optimize application performance and improve system reliability
• Collaborate with stakeholders to clarify requirements and align priorities
• Troubleshoot production issues and deliver timely fixes

Requirements

• 5+ years of Python development experience
• Senior-level leadership skills to guide technical decisions
• Proven project delivery experience in cross-functional teams
• Strong backend engineering skills with focus on reliability and performance
• Solid problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Clear communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively
• English proficiency at an Upper-Intermediate level (B2) or higher
