Senior Python Developer

About the Position

We are looking for a Senior Python Developer with 5+ years of experience to join our team in Kharkiv or Odessa. Proficiency in Django, AWS, and PostgreSQL is required.

Responsibilities

• Writing reusable, testable, and efficient code that adheres to our internal standards and conventions, and general best practices
• Integration of user-facing elements developed by front-end developers with server-side logic
• Maintain technical documentation
• Troubleshoot and debug issues that arise
• Critique current code base and take part in code review process
• Implement security and data protection
• Integrate online commerce software platforms

Requirements

• BS in Computer Science or similar technical field
• Expert in Python (5+ years experience), with knowledge of the Django Python web framework
• Experience in our other core technologies
• Experience in OOP design
• Good knowledge of front-end technologies, such as HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript. Knowledge of KnockoutJS would be a plus
• Knowledge of AWS cloud and services (EC2, S3, Redshift)
• Experience with PostgreSQL
• Understanding of accessibility and security compliance
• Knowledge of user authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments
• Understanding of fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
• Able to create database schemas that represent and support business processes
• Strong unit test and debugging skills
• English - strong verbal and written communication skills
