Senior Python Developer (m/f)

About the Position
ARHS Group, part of Accenture, is looking for a Senior Python Developer (m/f) to join one of our client teams onsite in Luxembourg within a European institutional environment.
In this role, you will contribute to the development, maintenance, and evolution of business-critical applications, while helping establish robust engineering practices around testing, quality, and software design. You will work closely with both technical and business stakeholders to deliver reliable and scalable solutions.
Responsibilities
- Support and maintain Python-based applications and tools running in production environments.
- Participate in the development of new functionalities and the continuous improvement of existing solutions.
- Contribute to the design and evolution of core frameworks supporting business and financial calculations.
- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to translate requirements into robust software solutions.
- Support citizen developers by promoting development best practices, quality standards, and testing approaches.
- Extend and maintain automated integration and testing frameworks.
- Ensure high code quality through test automation, code reviews, and quality controls.
- Contribute to CI/CD and DevOps practices to improve software delivery and reliability.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in Python development.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in test automation and software quality practices.
- Proven experience working closely with business stakeholders to deliver software solutions that meet both functional and technical requirements.
- Strong experience with:
- Python
- Django and Django ORM
- REST APIs
- SQLAlchemy
- Pandas
- SQL
- Solid understanding of:
- Test automation frameworks
- BDD (Behavior-Driven Development)
- CI/CD practices
- DevOps principles
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken).
Nice to Have
- Experience in the financial sector or with financial calculations and reporting systems.
- Experience mentoring developers and promoting engineering best practices.
- Knowledge of cloud-based architectures and modern software delivery practices.
