Senior Python FullStack Engineer

About the Position

We are looking for an experienced Senior Full Stack Developer to join a large-scale digital transformation program in a highly regulated manufacturing environment.

You will work across the full application stack, developing production-grade backend and frontend solutions while collaborating with architects, QA, validation specialists, and business stakeholders. This is a hands-on individual contributor role focused on delivering high-quality, compliant software from requirements through production deployment.

You will be expected to take ownership of features end-to-end, including implementation, testing, documentation, and support during validation and rollout activities.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement backend services, APIs, and business workflows using Python and Django.
• Develop modern frontend applications and user interfaces using Angular and TypeScript.
• Build and maintain REST APIs and real-time communication components.
• Design and optimize database models, migrations, and queries.
• Implement background processing, scheduling, and asynchronous workflows.
• Create automated tests at unit, integration, and end-to-end levels.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices.
• Collaborate with architects and technical leads to refine designs and resolve implementation challenges.
• Support software validation, documentation, and compliance activities.
• Participate in deployment, commissioning, and production support activities when required.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools responsibly to improve productivity and quality.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional full-stack software development experience.
• Strong expertise in Python and Django, including Django REST Framework and modern backend development practices.
• Strong Angular and TypeScript experience.
• Experience designing and consuming REST APIs.
• Solid knowledge of relational databases such as Microsoft SQL Server or PostgreSQL.
• Experience writing automated tests using modern testing frameworks.
• Strong Git and collaborative development practices.
• Experience working within regulated, audited, or compliance-driven environments.
• Ability to independently drive features from requirements through production release.
• Availability for periodic business trips across the United States and Europe as required by business needs.

Nice to Have

• Experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare, manufacturing, or other regulated industries.
• Familiarity with GxP, 21 CFR Part 11, CSV, or similar validation frameworks.
• Experience with WebSocket-based applications.
• Experience with background processing frameworks such as Celery or similar solutions.
• Experience integrating AI/LLM capabilities into enterprise applications.
• Experience supporting multi-site or international software deployments.
• Manufacturing execution systems (MES) or industrial software experience.
• RFID, IoT, or operational technology (OT) integration experience.
• Experience with cloud-based enterprise platforms and authentication systems.
• Experience using AI coding assistants in production software development.
