DataRobot is looking for a Senior Python Software Engineer to expand our Data&Connectors engineering team, with the main focus on development of backend of our GenAI platform and Agentic applications.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, test, and support features of DataRobot with the main focus on expanding unstructured data connectivity and data processing capabilities of DataRobot GenAI platform and Agentic applications.
  • Own and drive key projects and milestones while fostering a culture of abundant communication.
  • Write and maintain automated tests.
  • Communicate clearly and proactively with product and technical stakeholders to clarify requirements.
  • Seek, give, and receive critical feedback in a constructive manner, including but not limited to code reviews.
  • Work collaboratively with peers and take initiative in solving problems and unblocking others.
  • Take ownership of the components we develop and deliver work that you can be proud of.
  • Engage in engineering on-call escalated support of services owned by the Data&Connectors team.
  • Competencies should be at a level where a manager can have high confidence in the engineer’s ability to deliver tasks on time.

Requirements

  • Proven experience writing high-quality code in a collaborative, cloud-native environment preferably using Python.
  • Experience working with cloud platforms: designing, deploying, and maintaining cloud-based solutions.
  • Strong software engineering fundamentals in algorithms and data structures. Distributed systems fundamentals and principles related to scalability, performance, and reliability.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills. Personal drive and a proactive approach to getting things done.
  • Effective communication behavior: can connect with both technical and non-technical audiences effectively in English.

Nice to Have

  • JVM experience.
  • Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Helm.
  • Real-world experience decoupling monolithic software into smaller reusable components.
  • Experience with CI/CD, preferably Harness.
  • Understanding of OAuth/JWT/Kerberos/LDAP/SAML.
  • CKAD (Certified Kubernetes Application Developer) certification.
  • Keen interest in working in a fast-paced, flexible startup environment with a geographically distributed team.
