Senior QA Automation Engineer / QA Enablement Lead (React Native)

About the Position

We are looking for a Senior QA Automation Engineer / QA Enablement Lead to join a product-focused engineering team building a large-scale mobile application.

This is a hands-on role for someone passionate about software quality, test automation, and engineering excellence. Beyond writing automated tests, you will play a key role in shaping the organization’s testing strategy, establishing quality standards, and enabling engineering teams to take ownership of testing.

You will collaborate closely with Product Managers, Software Engineers, and multiple cross-functional teams to build scalable testing solutions and improve the overall quality of the product.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated testing solutions for a React Native mobile application.
• Build and improve test automation frameworks from scratch.
• Define and promote testing standards, best practices, and quality engineering processes.
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and improve release quality.
• Design and maintain automated unit, component, integration, and end-to-end test suites.
• Support engineering teams in adopting testing best practices and increasing test ownership.
• Mentor developers and QA engineers on automation and quality engineering practices.
• Collaborate across multiple product teams to establish a consistent testing strategy.
• Investigate test instability, improve framework reliability, and reduce flakiness.
• Support mobile performance investigations and contribute to performance optimization initiatives.
• Continuously evaluate and improve testing tools, frameworks, and engineering processes.

Requirements

Technical Skills

• Strong experience with JavaScript and/or TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience with test automation for React Native or mobile applications.
• Experience with Jest, React Native Testing Library (RNTL), Detox, or similar mobile testing frameworks.
• Experience building and maintaining automation frameworks from scratch.
• Solid understanding of software testing principles and testing pyramid.
• Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience defining testing standards and automation best practices.
• Knowledge of mobile performance profiling and troubleshooting is considered an advantage.

• Experience supporting quality engineering initiatives across multiple teams.
