About the Position

Senior QA Engineer (Playwright + TypeScript) for Workforce Tool in Construction

We are looking for a highly technical Senior QA Engineer to join a fast-paced product team building specialized workforce management software for large-scale industrial operations.

The product is a hardware-integrated SaaS solution that processes real-time field data and delivers actionable insights through dynamic dashboards and mobile interfaces.

This role focuses on automating complex user interfaces involving high-frequency data updates and large datasets. This is an Individual Contributor role with high ownership over the testing strategy and automation framework. This is not a manual QA-only role. The position requires deep expertise in Playwright, strong programming skills, and the ability to work with complex, dynamic UI systems.

Strong Playwright expertise is the primary screening signal for this role. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate deep, hands-on expertise in Playwright during the technical screening.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a robust automated testing framework from the ground up
  • Identify and document complex edge cases in highly dynamic UI components
  • Collaborate with frontend developers to ensure testability of new features
  • Perform root-cause analysis for flakiness in automated runs
  • Monitor and improve test execution times within the deployment pipeline
  • Conduct thorough manual testing on features where automation is not yet feasible

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance
  • Expert-level proficiency with Playwright for end-to-end testing (core requirement)
  • Strong programming skills in JavaScript and TypeScript
  • Proven experience testing dynamic content and complex virtualized lists
  • Deep understanding of DOM manipulation and asynchronous event handling
  • Experience with CI/CD integration for automated test suites
  • Proficiency in Chrome DevTools for debugging and performance profiling
  • Proactive attitude toward identifying architectural bottlenecks
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment
  • Strong documentation skills for bug reporting and test planning

We Offer

  • Remote-first flexibility
  • Exposure to modern automation frameworks
  • Ownership over the testing strategy
  • Collaboration with a high-performing international engineering team
