Senior QA Tester

We are seeking a detail-oriented and meticulous Senior QA Tester to join our quality assurance team. As a QA, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify, document, and report defects, ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of excellence.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough manual testing of software applications to identify defects, inconsistencies, and usability issues;
• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on project requirements and specifications;
• Collaborate with software developers, product owners, and project managers to understand application functionality and testing requirements;
• Document and track defects using appropriate tools, clearly describing issues and providing necessary steps to replicate them;
• Participate in test planning, estimation, and prioritisation discussions to ensure timely and effective testing of software releases;
• Work closely with other team members to identify test cases suitable for automation and automate them;
• Assist in the continuous improvement of testing processes, methodologies, and best practices;
• Stay current with industry trends and advancements in testing techniques and tools.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of previous experience as a QA;
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and testing techniques and best practices;
• Proficiency in using test case management tools and defect-tracking systems (e.g: Jira, XRay);
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills;
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams;
• Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results;
• Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently as well as within a team;
• Flexibility and adaptability to changing project requirements and priorities.

Nice to Have

• ISTQB or other relevant certifications;
• Experience in Automation.
